Vending Machine Locators – The Untold Story

There’s a lot of information out there on vending machine locators. The majority of it is inaccurate. Even through the expansion of social media vending machine locators have managed to stay heavily under the radar. It’s time to hear the real scoop. The majority of vending locators are not bad people but their services are no good. Vending locators are usually ex vendors themselves. This may sound great but it also means a few other things. They probably don’t have an education. They are probably not educated in the ways of business, quality control or management. They will not be able to give you a consistent experience. When growing a route your most important team member is your vending locator. Those not being able to provide you with a consistent experience are going to aggravate you to no end. It means you won’t be able to expand your business based on your business plan. It means that you’re constantly going to be arguing with someone who doesn’t understand your business or your business model. It’s very important when finding a vending locator to make sure they are professional. Do they have a system to manage all of their clients? If they don’t this is evidence of a huge problem to come. If they tell you they are going to “personally” email you with your locations then watch out. This means they don’t know what they are doing. If they tell you they are going to call you with each new location, this means they don’t know what they are doing. On the other hand if they tell you their “automated” system is going to send you locations the instant they are ready. This is a far better sign. If they tell you that you will be able to manage your account and locations online, even better. These are signs that the locating company knows what they are doing. There are tons of mom and pop operations out there. They may be good running a vending business but they make horrible locators.
