How to Be a Provider and a Great Parent!
It can be really difficult being a single parent. Not only are we faced with providing a loving balanced home on our own but also making sure that our income is enough to support our family. I have discovered that there is a way where we can do it all!For a long time I was working outside the home in a so called “normal” job. You know the one, 9-5 Monday to Friday plus over-time when I could in order to supplement my income. The over-time was becoming more necessary as the bills kept rolling in, particularly at the beginning of the school year, when the school fees became due.The extra money was great, but I was exhausted! There was not enough of me to go around and by the time I got home each day, I was faced with more work…washing, ironing, cooking etc. It never ended. I was becoming the dreaded grumpy Mum which was understandable but I knew my kids deserved more.So began my search for a better way of life for myself and my family.I knew there had to be an alternative to the rut that I was stuck in.A friend had an on-line business and was enjoying a whole new life-style where her “job” revolved around her family/ life as opposed to working everything around her job. I envied her, but was hesitant to make the change as I had very little experience with computers (apart from being able to email and “Google” stuff).Anyway I decided to hop online and check out what it was all about.I came across a home-business that really struck a chord with me. It’s really important to have a passion for what you are doing as you have to be disciplined in order to succeed in working from home. If you are not committed, there is no way that you will be successful. After heaps of research, I decided I had nothing to lose and everything to gain by starting my own enterprise. This became more apparent when I learned that in the next couple of years, 1 in 3 households will be generating their primary income from a home-based business! I didn’t want to be left behind and so I set about getting myself on board.I received heaps of support and training that got me up and running fast. Before I knew it I was totally confident and competent using a computer. My sons were amazed…I could actually show them how to do things on the computer they didn’t know how!.A beauty of a work at home-business is that you can choose the hours that you want to work, so in the initial stages you can still work your usual “job”on a part-time basis until you have established yourself. The choice is yours. The income opportunities are amazing and many people have chosen to travel and work their business at the same time. There is total portability in working on-line.I now enjoy a whole new life-style that suits me and my family down to the ground. My only regret, is that I didn’t discover it sooner.
