Telecommuting is becoming a reality to many who want to fire their boss and start their own business online. Many people are stuck in a day job that they hate and some of them are finding ways to eliminate that anxiety, panic and stress from their lives by working from home. Making money online by working from home is a real possibility and it is a reality for many people already. So how can you get started with it? There are a few things you need to be aware of and follow a few prerequisites before anything else.First of all, you need to have the right mindset. While working from home is easier than starting up your own brick and mortar business, since you don’t need a building, or capital or investors, it is more difficult than working for a boss at a day job, I have to tell you that upfront. Mentally is a tough business simply because people don’t have the right mindset and motivation to keep at it long enough until they see the rewards of their work.Also you need proper discipline. You have to understand that while at a day job you were following the orders of a boss (or several bosses), here you are your own boss. If you can’t be organized, motivated to work, you will simply do nothing but sit at home, complaining all day long that you are not making money. You need to have a discipline of doing the daily tasks that need to be done without somebody constantly telling you to do them. Some tasks might be very menial and boring for you. However, in order to succeed, you need to do them, and much more.I am working from home and sometimes I am putting in as many as 12-14 hours per day. However, since I’m doing something that I truly enjoy, this doesn’t really seem like work, it’s almost like a hobby. But, this doesn’t mean that I don’t have to do some things that are boring to me. And yet, I do them, as I know that there is no one else to do them for me (unless I outsource them), and they are a regular part of my job.So don’t get discouraged and demotivated if you don’t ‘make it’ right away. You will need at least 6 months before you start to see some results. But if you keep at it, I promise you, you will make money online by working from home. The trick is to stay with it, have fun with it and enjoy doing what you’re doing every day.
