I make money on the internet, what exactly does that mean? Well, for me it means I am bringing in around $100 a month from my little websites. For some that is not nearly enough to warrant effort, but this article will focus on those individuals who are looking to make a few extra bucks from an internet based business. Specifically, I will discuss businesses that are completely online, no bricks and mortar talk.How much effort are you willing to put in now in order to make an extra $20 a month later? You can’t just pull up and say, I’d like $5,000 a month in residuals please and have someone just give it to you. I put in three months of solid work getting up at 5:00 a.m. working for an extra 3 hours before leaving for my day job. I did this 7 days a week, and it took another two months to get ranked in Google. I’m not trying to praise myself, I’m just illustrating that this is something that is achievable, but takes some commitment.Now my main website is ranked #1 in Google for a keyword that gets 220,000 searches a month. I am putting in about 3 hours of work per month on the website now and bringing in about $100 total. Some of the money I am making through Google AdSense and the other money is coming from Amazon Affiliate program. Starting out, the best thing you can learn to do is how to evaluate keywords using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. I want to point out that everything I am talking about doing is free, and I didn’t spend a penny on anything related to analyzing keywords.I did sign up for a course that is discussed further on one of my other websites, but that is the only initial money I spent. The first month was $1 and after that the subscription was $33 per month. I was scared at first, but thank goodness I stuck with it. One way of looking at my situation is now I am working 3 hours a month and making $100 per month. So basically I am making about $33 per hour!
