How to Make a Quick $100
I get asked frequently about how someone can earn a quick $100. So, what do you need to do to get $100 right now? The first thing is to look around your house and gather everything that you can find that you believe that you can live without right now. If you’re not using it and never really plan to use it in the future it should go into a pile that will be sold. As an example, you might have some old clothes, furniture, books, even jewelry or collectibles that you don’t really need. Put them all together and let’s get rid of them.First of all, I don’t suggest that you go to eBay and try to sell them simply because they fees that are charged can be costly and if you’re only looking for $100 dollars it probably wouldn’t be worth trying to sell your items there. It will take at least a week for your item to sell and then you have to worry about shipping and things like people not paying or even your items not selling. Then they have to be relisted and it could be weeks before you sell everything. So, as much as I love eBay I don’t think this is the route you should take. What about a garage sale? This can be good if you have the time, energy and patients to do it. I personally hate doing garage sales. I love to go to them but for me to set everything up, sit out there for one or two days, dickering with people wanting everything for nothing is a waste of my valuable time. What about selling my items at auction? This might work if your items are very valuable but remember the auction house will charge anywhere from 25% to 50% to sell your items. If the items are really rare they might sell them for 10% commission. If you are looking for a quick $100 then I don’t believe this is the route we should take. So, what is the answer. A couple of ways to sell your items quickly and for a decent price would be advertising in your local paper and Craigslist. A lot of local papers will give you a free classified for small personal ads. And of course Craigslist is free. You don’t want to try and sell the items individually but instead sell them as one lot. Advertise it and then have the buyers come over and look at what you have and make you an offer.Remember that these buyers are buying to make a profit on these things too so you need to work with them and not try and get retail value out of them. That’s not going to happen and you will be stuck with your stuff. Don’t let that happen, get your money and be done with it.
