Five Important Clues to Spot Data Entry Fraud

Data entry has become one of the most desired online jobs today, but because of its popularity, it has gotten a much undeserved bad rap. A lot of times, people pin point an actual legit opportunity as a scam, simply because they are uneducated in that field of work. If one is not familiar with a certain program, they might assume it’s a scam and falsely label it as such. This can ruin it for a lot of people that actually need a job. Through research, I’ve learned there are a large number of different types of jobs in this field, so it’s good to first be able to put them into categories. This can help figure out which kind of job you want. There are your traditional data entry jobs and there are non traditional. Some are low wage jobs and some are higher wage jobs. Some require experience and some do not. There are websites that provide the actual job and there are websites that only provide you with a list of jobs to apply to. Some are commission based and some pay by the hour or by the job. These are very important things to know when searching for a data entry job. Once you can figure out which category best fits your wants, then you can begin your search. This can make it a whole lot easier to pin point an actual scam. Most home typing job scams are simply criminals posing as employers in order to take ones money. Because most of these programs charge a small fee, this is why they are targeted from fraudsters. Just remember, because there’s a fee does not meant it’s a scam, but you should do further research to make sure. I noticed most of these criminals are usually from far away countries usually outside of the US and they usually always use a free email address. A legitimate company will always use the actual domain name email for business, so if you see a company using a free email address such as Yahoo or gmail to conduct business, this should definitely raise a red flag. Here are a few other clues below -1. A business that uses a free website.2. A business that doesn’t use PayPal as a payment option. (This could be because they were banned from using PayPal)3. A business that has not been online for very long. (most fraudulent businesses don’t stay online for long.)4. A business that does not have a direct way to be contacted (phone, email or contact form on website.)5. A business that does not answer inquiries. If you see any of these signs I would definitely move onto another company, because these are huge red flags. You can make a great living with the right data entry job as long as you learn exactly what to look for.
